Because it already looks like the answer they need to produce. When a page states a real question in plain language and answers it directly in the next sentence or two, an AI assistant can lift that pair with almost no rewriting and attribute it to the source. Long-form prose buries the same information inside paragraphs the model has to summarize and resynthesize first — and a resynthesized answer is far less likely to carry a citation with it.

This is the same format used in the FAQ on this page, and that's why the FAQ exists — not as customer support, as bait for exactly this kind of quoting.
The pattern: state the question the way someone would actually type or ask it, not as a marketing headline. Answer it in the first sentence. Put supporting detail after, never before.
FAQPage or QAPage structured data around that same content gives the format double coverage — visible to a human reader scanning the page, and machine-readable for anything parsing structured data instead of prose.
